KBS tour feels mushy to me. I never thought I'd say this but my new favorite shafts are Project X and Rifle Flighted. I think I like the Rifle Flighted shafts the best. 6.0 is my number. I don't play 5.5 and I don't play 6.5. Straight up 6, bro'.

I don't like playing Dynalite Gold XP either. Too whippy and way too spinny. I feel like I'm swinging an old man club.

I need something that will compliment my superior fast-twitch muscles. I think I have found it in Project X. The Wilson FG Tour irons feel wonderful with this shaft. Keeps the ball on the down low.

Hah. An old man's shaft. The Dynalite Gold XP. Well, after hitting maybe 150 shots with range balls off mats last weekend with the MX 25's, I have to say that those shafts in stiff flex certainly didn't feel whippy at all. However, I noticed really high ball flights with the balls seeming to hang in the air for a second more than the same balls hit with my MX 20's with the Dynalight Gold SL's in stiff flexes but soft-stepped twice. Perhaps the SL's have much stiffer tips than the XP's. Whatever, it will be interesting to play them for the first time this coming Sunday. It has been raining a lot for the past week and the ground is too wet on my usual fields for the governments to mow so it will be trial by fire for these new sticks.

I guess nobody cares that I picked up a R9 superdeep TP 9.5 BBLB with a aldila RIP tp in stiff. Can anyone say fairway finder?

Stealth model. No one can see what your playing.

To lazy to take a picture, it's in the garage, in the car, wanting to get out. Gorgeous day.
    Photobucket.

What's perplexing me, is how easy it is to draw, and my fade is very minimal. Not a slice yet. The weighting is backward to what Taylormade reccomends for a draw. Heavy weight in the heel, lighter in the toe. This one is heavy in the toe. They come set that way from the factory, neutral face, 16 gram weight in toe, I think 2 gram in heel.
I was going to reverse it, and see what happens. One of the first drivers I can catch on the upswing, and not slice into oblivion.

That looks like a made-for RIP. Do you know what its specs are? I recently got a real RIP Gamma 60 gram regular flex pull and stuck it in my 909D3 head. Damned if I can get it more than 25 feet off the ground but the sumbitch goes dead straight and rolls a ton when it hits. Hopefully after I have the operation to remove my cataracts, I will be able to actually see them in flight, when they hit and how they roll.

It's made for Taylormade, but its the TP version, and they must be the real deal, as there quite a lot stiffer. It's the 70 gram stiff version. No color in the eyes.
I like it. It gets up there and screams, and rolls forward.

How weird.  I just purchased a Taylormade Superdeep 9.5 with Aldila RIP shaft.  The TP model.   I got it for $70 and it's in awesome condition.  These used to sell for $500 or $600 when they came out.  It's the lowest spinning head I've ever tried.  It's tough to get the 9.5 up in the air.   If it's tough for me then it's got to be next to impossible for most people.  I'm a high ball hitter.

    Eat your Wheaties!
Does yours say BBLB on it? Mine does. I got a headcover also. I paid a hundred though.
I think you can adjust the loft if you don't eat your Wheaties.
I hit it at a nice height, I figured if I struggled with it, I've got a 10.5 regular R9 I could try the shaft in.
The best part is I am able to open my stance, and pound it, that's the shizzle.
You do know what BBLB means?

My bag is about settled, I've narrowed it to the superdeep driver R9 tp with the nasty RIP shaft in stiff, lovely driver, my power fade is back. 3 wood R9 with a saishin shaft stiff cut down for a 3 wood, I'm putting a RIP in it soon. Titleist 909h 19deg voodoo stiff, almost a real mans shaft 90 something grams.
300 forged irons 5-pw rifle shafts. Raw ox mizuno wedges 50, 53, 58 wrx  Yes Amy putter. Tp3 balls
I may get another 909h in 23 or 24. They fligh nice and low for a hybrid.

Lets see if I can leave it alone for a month.

I never gave this model a chance....
I hit my Adams Tech OS gaybrids extremely well, except its trajectory (R-flex) is on a high side to my liking, so it's tough on windy days... I eBayed Cleveland DST gaybrids but never developed the love for them... Big Dave recommended Hibore XLS gaybrid, I eBayed 22* XLS gaybrid, love it , I hit it with best trajectory IMO and longer than other 22*gaybrids, then I eBayed 19* XLS,,,then 25*XLS gaybrid, love them all, Just eBayed XLS 15* 3W and love that club as well although it's still in the learning mode with this club. Now 7i-GW are my "scoring clubs.... Perhaps my scores would come down after retirement which is scheduled for Dec.30.2013 bounce

They had a show a week ago at the club, and they had some deeply discounted clubs.

I got to try the Cleveland hybrids, Cobra, tour edge exotics, and a couple Nickents, one I already had, and popped it up quite a lot. I never felt the V2 shaft in a hybrid worked well with my swing.

I got to the titleist hybrids, the 913 was to expensive, not much discount, the 909 being a little older model was deeply discounted 60 dollars, and the Voodoo shaft felt nice to me, and kept the ball down. I tried it on the course a couple days, and hit it nice.
I bought another last night on ebay a 24 with the voodoo, I hope it feels as good.
I also picked up the shaft I wanted a RIP phenom in stiff for a 3 wood. Half price what there going for.
I wanted to try the adams a12 as I've heard a lot of good about them ky.

Plus it sets up open, and I like that in a hybrid a very rare thing.

I had Adams  A4 forged irons and love them, them came with ProLaunch S flex which is a little too stiff for my SS... I thought I could handle graphite S flex, I tried and confirmed that S graphite shaft is not for me off the deck... I have no problems with S graphite shaft off the Ts, my current driver is Callay Diablo Edge Tour 9.5* S shaft, love this club, very very straight for my swing, I also play my Bro's old 9.5* Cleveland 460cc Ti Launcher, like this club also.  Sold my 10.5* R-flex Tit 905R... good club but not as straight as Diablo or Cleveland driverthey

Today I went to Play it Again Sports. You won't believe it.

Wilson FG Tour forged irons, 3-PW, Dynamic Gold R300, original grips, great condition for $69. They must have priced them wrong.

Went out during lunch and stopped by the local Play it Again Sports. Had my $50 off coupon with me. Needed to figure how to spend $250 to qualify for the $50 off. Easy peasy, Japaneesy.

Found a set of Wilson FG Tour irons, Dynamic Gold R300, original Lamkin grips, 3-PW in great shape for $69. Couldn't believe it. Clearly whoever priced them didn't know golf from gophers.

Also found a set of Taylormade Burner 1.0 irons with Taylormade Graphite stiff shafts, 4-PW & AW for $169. So now I'm up to $240 and found a set of Ashworth modern-style boat shoe/golf shoes for $20. After the coupon and tax I spent $226 on everything.

    Ebay here I come.

Club Ho'ing - Page 27 Empty Club Ho' Inventory Update

Post  FamousDavis Thu Jun 27, 2013 10:49 am

I just sold the Superdeep driver yesterday.  Anyway, here's a list of my club inventory:

Taylormade R7 CGB Max irons, 4-AW with Black Steel shafts and lime green golf pride Miion grips.  Cool as all hell and gone.

Cleveland TA2 irons, 3-PW, DGR300.   These feel crisp, clean and like butta'.

Mizuno MP-32 irons, 3-PW, DGS300.  Grips are midsize.  A shame, really, as I could play them.

Wilson FG Tour irons.  2 sets.   One with Rifle 6.0 and one with DGR300.

Callaway S2H2 Irons, 2-SW, original Pat Pend model.  Sweet irons.

Cobra SZ irons, 3-AW with Nippon 1030H stiff shafts.   Big shovels that feel great.  Haven't tried them yet.  Probably a bad purchase for $121.

Mizuno MP-62 with Exsar Tour Spec Reg graphite.  4-PW & Gap.  Haven't tried them and  probably won't.

    Drivers:

Ping i20, 8.5 with stock Ping Stiff.

    Callaway Diablo Octane Tour 8.5

    Callaway Diablo Edge Tour 8.5.

The difference is actually quite substatial. The Diablo Edge Tour is far superior in every way to the Diablo Octane Tour. The Octane feels muted and the shaft is a POS. The Edge Tour is a good looking head with great feel.
