Rolex Rankings Movers of the Year - Part 1 Empty Rolex Rankings Movers of the Year - Part 1

Now that we have completed about 1/3 of the LPGA season, I would like to look at the players that have made the biggest leaps, and taken the biggest falls in the Rolex Rankings this year.

The Rolex Rankings system awards points to players based on an accumulated 104-week "rolling" period, with the points awarded in the most recent 13-week period carrying a stronger value.
A player is then ranked according to her average points per tournament, as determined by dividing her total number of points by the number of eligible tournaments played during the 104-week period. A minimum divisor (35) is also used.

I have gone back to the first Rolex Rankings of the year and compared them to the current rankings. The only requirement for my list is that a player must have been ranked in the top 100 at the start of the year, or be in the top 100 now.

Here are the Year's Biggest winners and biggest losers:

As someone who follows golf closely, but not the LPGA, I'm going to give my LPGA rankings based upon what I've heard. Keep in mind, I don't actively seek out info on the LPGA, though I also don't actively ignore it.
This is more of a "buzz list" which should actually provide a lot more value to marketers than whatever list you (tony) come up with.

    Hot list

    1) Holly Saunders - I don't know what tour she is on, but she made the cover of Golf Digest and gives me at least a semi every time I glance at the cover.

    2) Inbee Park - I think she is playing well? I think I heard that somewhere.

    3) Stacey Lewis - Based upon my sources (non-existent), she is the highest ranked American.

    4) The young Spanish girls on tour. I saw a picture of 3 of them looking quite nice. I don't know if they are upper echelon type of players, but they should be marketed.

    Cold List

1 - 100) All the robotic chunky Asians and Euro-dykes who either don't speak English, wear frumpy clothes, or have no personalities.

Holly Saunders is definitely having a great year.
