    FD's Bag.....I'm back Empty FD's Bag.....I'm back

Post  FamousDavis Thu Aug 30, 2018 11:05 am

Wow, I haven't posted in awhile. Three months ago my girlfriend of 1 year and 8 months said goodbye. I guess I'm not that great at this relationship thing. I always start fading after the first year and then I don't realize what I have until it's too late. Too late for love...like the Def Leppard song goes. So, I'm out there dating again. I've got 3 dates lined up for this weekend. We shall see how it goes. My last date was with a Korean girl with broken English. Problem was I completely forgot her name during the first date so during the second date I just said "hey" when we met. It would be fun to do a test to see how long you could have a relationship without ever knowing or saying her name. I bet I could keep it going for 3 months.

Well, I'm off...to what I have no idea. I'm just a reckless bandit trying to make it in this harsh world. Chicks or no chicks, I'm still a great golfer.

    In the bag:

Titleist 917 D3 8.5 with Aldila RIP Alpha Stiff Shaft.  I hit it a mile.
    Callaway Steelhead 3+ Wood.
    Cobra Hybrid
Titleist 990 Irons, Trispec Stiff steel shafts,
    Taylormade Tour Burner Sand Wedge
Taylormade Rossa Monza Corsa putter (Damn long name).

I'm currently a 7 handicap.  I play twice per month.  Last round I shot 76.  One before that I shot 85.

The Titleist 917 D3 driver is probably the best I've ever hit.

If you were in Korea and met that girl and started dating she would probably just call you "Joe" like they all call the round-eye males. But you'd have to be careful with the native food and never order a dish with the name of "Chicken Lassie" or "Beef Rin Tin Tin".

    Hello, FD.

    Nice to hear from you.

I can't play at all anymore.
Spinal stenosis and ulnar nerve damage.

    I'm essentially screwed.

So this is the new set that I'm looking at.
Seriously, I may buy it just to look at it.
    I'm completely batshit crazy now.

I once bought a used set of Henry Griffits irons. I realize that completely defeats the purpose of a custom iron. Regardless, I hit them quite well. Then again I pretty much hit everything good to great.

One club I don't like is the Taylormade M3. It was way too light and I didn't like the feel at all. The M4 may be better.
