I think this is BS. Really? You can't even look at a woman these days without being accused of something. Geez.

Re: O'reilly and Fox
You could be right, FD. Without knowing what actually transpired, it's tough to know.
But the guy is getting a 25M severance to retire at age 67. When I was 67, I'd been retired for 12 years. And the severance package that I got in addition to my pension was definitely smaller than that, not that I'm complaining.
As a hard-left progressive, I've always considered the guy a total asshole. But in the end, he looks like a winner, here. Who the hell wants to keep working at 67? I was more than ready to take it easy at 55.

Trombettista, he wants to keep working because he enjoys what he does. How could he not? He has a top-rated show, millions of viewers and you can tell he loves it. I understand why you may find him to be an asshole but I never have. I agree that he is definitely slanted toward the right but I've seen him many times call out Republicans for stupid behavior. Of all the shows on Fox he is the one that seems to look at things in a semi-bipartisan perspective. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be friends with the guy. He's too much of a know it all and too arrogant.
In regard to his behavior with women, my guess is that he comes across as extremely confident (sometimes arrogant) and says things that are consistent with that type of personality. However, I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to women complaining about sexual harrassment. Your leftist crowd wants to make him out to be some predator. Really?

He might be a predator, FD, but nothing I've seen seems like hard evidence to me, either--and I don't like the guy.
I don't think that anybody without subpoena power could possibly know for sure. And my friends on the left are usually like all other people. They don't have to really know to have an opinion.
As for loving his work, even to the point of wanting to work past retirement age, well that's a blessing few people have. I wish that more of us could know what that's like. I was not quite out of the parking lot when I came to comfortable terms with being retired!

Agree with everything you said FD. Conservatives make easy targets because as we all know with liberals the end justifies the means.
