I can hit it with my 7i all day long (well 40 balls), great for muscles memory.... We are going to Japan (cherry blossom) in April, then Taipei for a few days followed by S.korea for a few days. And a Happy and Prosperous Tet to you, also. I played one round with four other club mates on Jan. 21, a Saturday. It was very damp, cart parth only, with temps in the 40's with heavy air so there was not much carry, especially with drivers. So we played the senior tees as a five-some. I shot an 87 which was probably better by several strokes than the other four. First round with my laser rangefinder and I think it helped me save at least 4-5 strokes on full and partial wedge shots. And I had at least 7 3-putts. I've been to Japan (Tokyo and Sasebo) and Taiwan (Taipei, Kaolung and Keesiung) but never made landfall in the Republic of Korea. Enjoy your trip. Don't worry about Trump since most of his stuff is going on out of the range of the hysterical Media. There will be no war with China and the DPK will only be nuked with China's blessing. Now Europe and parts east is a different story. I would avoid any area where the mohammedans exceed 5% of the population which includes France, Germany, UK, Sweden, Netherlands and am I forgetting anyone? Raise your hand if you've surrendered to the Plague and I missed you. Obammie fucked up the USA real good and it will take lots of time, pain and bloodshed to get the country back on track.

A Ryan House and McConnell Senate could only prevent any good with O'Bama in the Oval Office.  He could prevent them from doing any serious harm.

A Ryan / McConnell /Trump government is about to precipitate a level of human misery never seen in America, this despite a sketchy history that included slavery.

It took nearly six decades (January 30, 1933--October 3, 1990) before Germany could even begin the process of recovering from the elevation of Chancellor Hitler.  The elevation of Trump may take a full century to repair--if the American republic doesn't swirl down history's toilet first.  I'm setting the odds at even money.

Please, Mongrel---O"Bama fucked up the country?

I don't believe that you're a billionaire oligarch--you wouldn't be wasting your time here.  That means that your chance of even surviving the Trump Reich are no greater than mine.  We're both fucked, the difference being that I know it.

Maybe you're better off being happy and unknowing before the Sword of Damocles falls, but don't look up. It's already falling.

When Obama took office in 2008, unemployment rate was close to 8% and rising.... stock was about 7000-8000? When he left the office end of 2016 , unemployment rate was about 4.5% and stock was about 19,500 pts. Díd he fuck up the country? can someone explain to me "HOW" , maybe I don't understand the facts. trump should shut up and do his job as elected president then this country would be less divided - IMO - rather he is using valuable time to fight with all that he does not like ... WTF ... be the USA president, grow up, USA is losing respect in around the world... I accept that he won the presidential race, so shut up and do your job ... Sorry guys/girls/AC-DC

It's getting a little scary now. Many people rode the Trump wagon all the way up to the election. I guess there were enough people, including myself, who wanted change. However, his tweets have become something more than just amusing or a different way of communicating with the public.

Scary for many people who rely on the mass media for their political, social and religious beliefs. Scary for folks who have been sucking off the public teat from generation to generation. Scary for illegal aliens and those from other lands unwilling to assimilate into the American way of life. Scary for the young exhibiting the same feeble mindedness of their elders. Trump tweets because it is his Stradivarius. And his non-lethal weapon to smoke out those who are stupid enough to take the bait.

I hope that you're just trolling to break balls, Mongrel, because if you actually believe what you're writing here, you're aligning yourself with mouth-breathing troglodytes.

Middle America itself has become a neo-Nazi stronghold not unlike the Ustashi Croatians. They're getting similar church support as well.

The American union is no longer tenable. The Northeast and the West Coast cannot exist under the same government as the criminal element in the south and the interior.

The billionaire oligarchs have gone to great pains to keep the latter uneducated and compliant. Where the intellectuals, now demeaned as "elites," are shocked and sickened by what the Trumpsters are doing, the aforementioned mouth breathing troglodytes of America still support mr. orange cartoon man 100%.

Any Trump sycophant once blessed with a triple digit IQ has obviously smoked enough weed to make Tommy Chong look like Mike Pence. But they're clearly in the minority of those in Trumpland. Most non-billionaire oligarchs who support that despicable cretin have tried to do heavy lifting with very light equipment.

Can anybody remember a time when the president, the vice president, the speaker, the majority leader, several SCOTUS justices, and virtually every cabinet member was a total piece of shit?

That's where we are now, and there's no existing blueprint for recovering from that.

The Republican "health care" bill is a document of such nature that anybody who votes for it very publicly identifies him or herself as a sub-human being completely unworthy of sharing the oxygen supply.

I have never considered myself lacking in imagination, but I cannot imagine anything--any single thing--too horrible to wish on these so-called "free market" turds-- beginning with mr. orange cartoon man himself.

Actually, anybody with (R) after his or her name is pretty much a proven troglodyte, and that goes for other "conservatives" who prefer to call themselves "independents," this despite the fact that nobody with balls can be comfortable straddling a fence.

I'm in full rage mode, now. The corporate oligarchs are looking out for their own interests, and while I hate them with a vehement passion, I can understand that.

What I cannot understand is non-billionaires who choose to vote like billionaires, thus sticking a white hot poker not only up their own rectums but up everybody else's too. I mean everybody's. Even legitimate business, where it still exists, does better long term under progressive leadership and policies.

Let's take the stupid term "middle class" and throw it out the window. If you live on paychecks more than profits or investment income, no matter how big or small those paychecks are, you are WORKING CLASS. And if, as a working class person, you voted for Donald Trump or any Republican congressional candidate, or any state or municipal level Republican candidate, you did in fact shove a white hot poker so far up your own ass that it's knocking out your teeth from the inside.

Is the stupidity of America the result of trying to form a nation out of people who are ideologically incompatible and who basically don't like each other? I can't answer that definitively, but I sure suspect it right now.

But regardless, the situation that we're in is what we've got, and we couldn't possibly be doing any less with it. The corporate oligarchs call the shots according to their short term benefit, and the very people getting the most deeply sodomized by these policies are supporting them.

White men without degrees, go to fucking school. Degreed individuals still voting stupidly, you had your chance to learn. Now, your best bet is to kill yourselves.

This is indeed an interesting time to watch what's happening with Trump. Back in the 80's Trump was on the Oprah show and she asked him about running for president. He replied that he wouldn't want to because 1) he loves what he does and 2) it's a job that beats you up and is very negative. I've heard people question if he actually wanted to win and I think they are on to something. I'm thinking that part of him didn't want to win. It was more of a challenge. Now that he's won I'm getting the feeling that he's completely out of his element. Well, I guess it's more than a feeling, he really is out of his element. Trump was a democrat before.

Yes, there is fake news and yes Trump's tweet about Obama doing wire taps was, I believe, a sarcastic comment meaning that Obama must have wiretapped him to know that he was working with the Russians to influence the election. Some blame should go to CNN and every other left wing news agency. I'm fairly certain they realize what his tweet meant, yet they are running with it as if it were a literal statement and asking for proof. Does anyone actually believe that Trump was being literal in his comments regarding Obama wiretapping him?

I can watch CNN and get fake reporting and then I can flip to Fox and get fake reporting. It's an odd time. One thing I will never do is become a part of the team. Say or do whatever I feel is necessary to be a part of the team and one of the gang. It's so pathetic.

In the wake of the failed Trump / Ryan Care bill, let's review why all the pols are jerking off.

There is not ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE ON THE PLANET EARTH of successful free market health care. "Free market" and "health care" don't belong in the same thought.

FIRST, young, healthy people have no short term incentive to voluntarily buy health insurance that will pay for the care of the sick and the elderly. They must be mandated to buy it or the entire paradigm collapses.

SECOND, buying it in tax money is more efficient than buying premiums because all the tax money goes to health care while half the premium money goes to insurance company profits.

THIRD, the ONLY time a health care decision is strictly between the patient and the doctor is when said patient is prepared to write a personal check for the ENTIRE cost of the care provided. Otherwise, your third party intruder is either our non-profit government in which we have a vote or the for-profit insurance companies into whose boardrooms we're not invited for discussion.

How the hell could it be any simpler? The government HAS to run healthcare. If the government sucks, that OUR fault.

My man Bernie supports Medicare for ALL. That's a huge improvement over our present cluster fuck of a system, but it's still public funding of private services which remains too expensive. What's needed is public services--an exact copy of the United Kingdom's National Health Service. What they were able to accomplish seventy years ago, we're still five or ten steps short of even discussing.

    Let's repeat it once more:

There is not ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE ON THE PLANET EARTH of successful free market health care.

If that's what conservatives are trying to sell, how stupid would anybody have to be to buy it? WE FUCKING LIVE IN THE COUNTRY THAT'S PROVEN BEYIOND ALL DOUBT THAT IT CANNOT WORK--IT'S CONCEPTUALLY IMP[OSSIBLE. What the hell is wrong with us? Are we forever to call our unequalled social regressiveness "American Exceptionalism?"

Amen to that. Some of the happiest people I know graduated from public high schools and went to work learning trades along the way. Some left the employ of others and started their own businesses. They are better off than many of the people who got multiple college degrees and got stuck in dead end jobs as bureaucrats or cogs in big corporate machines.

I graduated from a small public high school in 1965. Today's undergraduate college curricula seems to produce kids with emotional ages of high school sophomores. Many of these will be residing in Mom's basement until their hair turns gray.

The most highly educated people I know have been gnashing their teeth for years about political this and that and bemoaning the lack of social justice. Fuck social justice. Just get a fucking job.

Trom, being a democrat, probably misses the days of Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall.

But he is also correct in saying this country is going to hell in a handbasket but not for the reasons he says. IMHO, social progressives have contributed more to the down fall of this country than any other factor. Who ever came up with the theory that we should let generations of people live on welfare and receive free food, money and healthcare without giving back one fucking thing to society should have been shot. Guessing most dems would disagree because the benefactors of such largesse will continue to vote for the left so they don't loose their meal ticket.

Why is it that the left love the idea of green energy such as windmills for electricity as long as they aren't in their backyards? They love to help the illegal immigrants but they would never think of putting up a family in their own homes? Free medical for all but b!tch about the cost as much as the right does? Everybody has the right of free speech as long as they stick to the left but don't let the people on the right have their say? You can sue a person if they don't share the same ideas of marriage? What about the rights of the person who refuses because of their beliefs?

The old adage, the squecky wheel gets the grease, is especially true in this age. If you are a minority because of creed, race, religion, sexual persuasion and you piss and moan loud enough, the left forces everybody to kiss their asses.

Well, that's enough venting for now, so I guess I'll go out and let an illegal faggot muslim bend me over a stump and let him do his reenactment of Deliverence.

It's all well and good to rehash the regressive right talking points, gentlemen, but try to address this issue.

There still is not one example of successful free market healthcare anywhere in the world.  Not one. Anywhere.

Everybody else in the civilized world knows that the government HAS to run healthcare or it won't work.  Healthy, young, working people have to pay for all healthcare as theirs will be paid for when they become older and sicker.  Healthy young people won't pay for healthcare voluntarily. You can't make them pay premiums. You can make them pay taxes.  Tax money should pay for healthcare.

So we have these Republican empty suits thinking that they're the ones who can make free market healthcare work when there is not one demonstrable example of it working anywhere in the universe.  The real Republican corporate oligarchs are in the private sector, not in government. Their puppet politicians, none of whom could run a lemonade stand on a busy street in August, are the ones charged with doing what has been pretty much proven to be impossible--formulate a healthcare system successfully driven by free market solutions.

As for education, one has to know stuff to do stuff.  Common sense is a resource, albeit one in short supply. It is not a tool. You can't perform surgery with common sense. You can't wire a building with common sense.  You can't fly a jumbo jet with 250 passengers aboard with common sense.  The choice is to acquire formal, post high school education, be it university or practical trade training, or flip burgers at Mickey D's.  If this education isn't made available to everybody, you end up with the cosmically stupid nation that we're sinking in right now--the kind of nation that elects Donald Fucking Trump, Mitch McConnell, and Paul Ryan.  I have seen maggots crawling out of dog shit which are more fit to assume positions of power and responsibility.

It's one thing to verbally defend the regressive ideology that feels right in  your minds and hearts with philosophical opinion.  Don't try to do it with any kind of logic however.  You have a better chance, guys, of taking flight by flapping your arms.

And one more thing.  If you're not blessed to have been a trust fund baby, you're defending positions working in direct opposition to your own economic best interests.  People like to imagine that they're "middle class." By formal definition, middle class people live off personal business profits and investment income. Any person who relied on paychecks for a livelihood during his/her working life is WORKING CLASS.  It doesn't matter if one is a store clerk or a ten million dollar a year major league shortstop.  The size of the paycheck is irrelevant.  If you're living off of it, you are most definitely working class.  And if you're working class, Republican ideology exists to keep you under the thumbs of the oligarchs. And if you received a proper education, you would have figured that out sometime before turning thirty.

I know. There are no logical refutations. My points are logically irrefutable. They just don't feel right to the socially regressive Middle American mind, but how does one express that in words?

It must be difficult to accept that the political values closest and dearest to one's heart are indefensible by logical argument; and that probably, holding them may very well define one as intellectually and morally compromised.

Thankfully, I've never had that problem. I was blessed with relatively impenetrable moral armament and apparently enlightened insight. I bear the burden of being one of those annoying East Coast elites in terms of political awareness albeit not wealth.

I don't know how to help you, guys, but I truly would if I could. Believe that at least. I'm too old to keep malice in my heart. All that space is filled with disappointment over America's wasted potential. The greatest tract of real estate in the world should be the greatest nation as well; and it would have been, too--had it been populated by more progressive people. Instead, we're a punch line to the civilized world.

Healthcare is possibly the one example of a system that may indeed be better run by government. However, you can't intermingle the two. You can't keep health insurance companies along with all the doctors that take their insurance and ALSO have a government run program. It has to be all one way or the other. I have a masters degree and I consider myself fairly intelligent, yet I don't understand my health insurance. There are co-pays, deductables, covered care, etc. When I go to the doctor I have no idea what I will be billed for. The only health insurance provider where I half understood my coverage was with Kaiser. But they suck too because to see a specialist you need to first visit your primary physician.

I also feel sorry for doctors. They go to college for 4 years, medical school for 4 years, 2 years of internship and then 1 or 2 years of residency and then make $90,000/year. I'm talking general practice.

What's really odd, is that today people call it healthcare. It's supposed to be insurance. You pay monthly in case something really bad happens or you need surgery. It's not meant to pay for condoms or routine exams. It's so strange how the general public views medical insurance these days.

Famous Davis... U have to show me where U get the info that a general practice (I assume U meant a family doctor?) makes $90K a year. We have several Drs within relatives and I know they make much more than that. One knee surgeon, one ophthalmologist, one related to lung disease and I know they make somewhere 250K to 300K a year , although they carry about 250K-300K student loans. A family doctor would make around $150-180K depending on location. Not sure how much they have to pay for medical malpractice because I did not ask. Not a profession to be in if you don't love the profession, my friends in hi-tech make more than that (with good stock options... )

BUT.....if we had a National Health Service like the UK's, a physician wouldn't have to pay for office space, equipment, nurses, receptionists, malpractice insurance, OR med school student loans. With a time commitment to government medical service, medical school would be tuition free like the military academies.

No hassles, no overhead, and a nice pay check from the government.

The British doctors that Michael Moore interviewed for his documentary seemed quite content indeed with their station in life.

Healthcare can't be efficiently paid for at point of service. It has to be paid for in tax deductions over the course of one's working life. That way everybody's in the pool unlike with discretionary premium payments. And unlike premium payments, it all goes to healthcare, not profits, so it's much more bang for the buck.

It's frustrating that the people fortunate enough to inhabit arguably the best single tract of real estate on the entire planet aren't as smart as the people who don't. It must be that homogeneous populations have more solidarity than multi-cultural ones and are willing to do more things collectively for their mutual benefit. American are infamous for not liking one another, and today's political polarization illustrates that.

Personally, I don't mind paying my share of more taxes so that we all have free medical system (or minimum out-of-pocket pay). Canada pays much higher taxes than us in the USA, yes I know because one of my relatives is an open heart surgeon who told me that his take-home paycheck is about 60-70% of his counterpart in USA, another one is an emergency Dr, another one is an oral surgeon and they all say of the same thing ... don't get me wrong, they are well to do in Montreal nevertheless. Keep in mind that medical system in Canada is NOT free but available to all and patience has to pay a monthly premium and a minimum out-of-pocket copay. One of the differences is their definition of "emergency", if we have a heart attack they would take us in immediately, but if we need cataract operation then we need to be on a waiting list for our turn

My old boss is from England - Imperial college - who lives in USA for 30+ yrs and he told me that he does NOT care for the medical system in England, he told my why but I don't remember his points
