The new Ben Hogan (no longer affiliated with Callaway) Fort Worth 15 blades are the most beautiful irons on the market today. And guess what?
They have the lofts rather than numbers stamped on the sole.
Every veteran player who bemoans the fact that modern irons are a full two clubs stronger-lofted than those with which we grew up has to love this feature. I love this feature. While the iron numbers make sense to the pre-social security crowd, they have become an abomination to me. Everybody hits his 6-iron 180 yards, but oh yeah, it's really a 4-iron. Just put the goddamned loft on the sole and nobody is lying to anybody.
I wish I could hit blades better than I do. These clubs would be in my bag so fast.
