Horseballs I really wish you would join WRX and contribute to threads like this!

My girlfriend bought me a set of Callaway Apexes to get me back on the course with her, but my Wishon irons are as good as any I've ever played.  

Good thing that I like the Apexes too, though, because I have to play them or she'll have my balls. (And I don't mean the DT SoLos.)

Damn it Kiwi!!! Just when I had begun to forget all about it!!!

I would love nothing more than to crush Wishon on golfwrx, but I can't join. They denied my Horseballs name, and now I can't register because my email address is already assigned a user. I suppose I could use another address, but now you're talking about me actually making an effort.

What a great catch! Sounds like a keeper Nifty.

I like the look and feel of those new Apexes. I assume you got graphite shafts. Now you should ditch the Tit SoLo's and try the Callaway Hex Chrome balls to go with your irons. Urethane covers so they spin pretty good and the best distance of any ball I played this season off driver. I would be playing them now but will not pay the price. I like the Hex dimple design so I bought two dozen of the Diablo Tours that are discontinued but still on the shelves at Golf Galaxy for $35 for two twelve packs. Surlyn covers but I have spun back irons up to 5 iron on dry greens so they must be OK and they putt well too.

I played with someone who had those last weekend. They're bigger than I thought they'd be, but they definitely have a look I like. Then again, I loved the look of the Razr X Forged from a few years and wanted to buy them until I went in for a fitting. Disappointed. Probably has put me off Callaway irons for a decade or so. I thought maybe I wasn't hitting the sweetspot or just swinging poorly until I tried some other irons.

At my age, Kiwi, a keeper is anyone who won't go away.  But this cutie is a youngster, only in her early to mid-fifties, and I can't even guess why she hangs around.  Hardly complaining, however.
