    Kia Classic Discussion Thread

    Post  tonyj5 on Mon Mar 24, 2014 11:28 pm

This week the LPGA moves to the state of California for the playing of the Kia Classic. Many of you may remember last year's exciting finish, when Beatriz Recari won in a playoff over I.K. Kim. Cristie Kerr, Pornanong Phatlum, and Mo Martin finished one shot back. This tournament has a history of first time winners. Hee Kyung Seo and Sandra Gal both got their first LPGA victories at the Kia Classic.

This will be tournament #6 of 32 on this year's LPGA schedule.

    Here are the Key Details:

I rented a Kia Sorrento last week and drove it about 250 miles. Light grey exterior, light grey interior cloth seats. It's a mid-sized SUV. Gas mileage seemed decent and the ride was OK. A bit more "car-like" than many SUV's I've driven, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in good weather.

I liked the TV commercial Michelle Wie did for the Kia Soul, the compact SUV-like box that looks like it was designed by Salvidor Dali after a nasty tequila hangover. The other thing about Michelle Wie is that her current putting stance makes her look like a large skinny inspect sticking its proboscus into the earth searching for nectar. Very mantis-like. Adam Scott is also tall and skinny. Maybe adopting Michelle's putting style would be good for him.
