What is the world coming to when a man can't carry a gun whilst ordering his favourite espresso coffee and double chocolate muffin? disappointed

This calls for a worldwide boycott on all Starbucks cafes. Although I'm not allowed to carry a gun anywhere (unless I'm heading into the hills to hunt deer) I still think this is an outrageous breach of human rights and will join the Starbucks boycott in solidarity with my gun toting American colleagues.

This is going to cause the Starbucks in Shithole, KY to shut down.

I never go anywhere without my nunchuks.

In the past twenty years, the only Starbucks I've been in have been in airport terminals. The narrow-minded Government prevented me from going in armed. Of course if I were African-American, I could have carried my shotgun with me or my AR-15. And if I were an Arab, a Home Depot box-cutter in each pocket would have been permissable as well as a left shoe loaded with RDX in the sole.

I just watched it on TV 5 minutes ago... I wonder if it's part of commercial , PR , promotion etc.... I remember the CEO said something like it's a suggestion, request, recommendation... not a requirement. If we don't like it then go somewhere else. I don't normally buy coffee there anyway, maybe only when I am at airport terminals

Well, I guess there's a clue where the next mouth-breathing Obama-supporting psychiatric drug-taking mental patient with a gun collection will commit mass murder.

I've taken Sparky oh so many times into my local Starbucks without issue.  I think they must mean other people shouldn't bring their guns.  I support that, most people aren't adequately proficient with firearms.  If there's a bad guy in there, I've got it covered.

It does strike me as a gesture that captures the very essence of liberalism so frequently on display these days.  Well intended but stupidly ineffective to the point of producing opposite results.  Here, the odds of awful, random murder inside a Starbucks just increased with their announcement.  Fine, you're against guns, the gun culture, I can relate, I wish noone else had one so I wouldn't need one.  But the automatic if it feels good in my naive inner robotic chasm it must make sense bs is the worst kind of stupid.
