    Patriots can fold their tent.

Post  corythepagan on Wed Jun 26, 2013 6:48 pm

I am disgusted with the Aaron Hernandez murder one arrest. I have no interest in being politically correct here. If Hernandez really offed that guy, I'm sure the guy wasn't a particularly valued member of society. I'm sure he was probably another thug just like Hernandez.

Also, the code of my people is that you don't get the police involved in your personal grievances. It's called omertà. If somebody in your family is murdered, it's your family's duty to get justice for itself. This is ingrained in a Sicilian's DNA, so even if Hernandez is a pos as charged, it's never easy to route for the justice system.

The real victim here is the great Tom Brady, who at thirty-six years of age, in the twilight of his career, is being screwed. The Patriots let Welker walk. Gronk is always hurt. Fucking Kraft dumps Hernandez before he's convicted in a court of law. If I were Brady, I'd quit right now.

I'm not going to watch him be played the fool. He doesn't deserve that. I'm done with the Pats as long as Kraft owns them.

    You're Sicilian, Cory?

You obviously are, as I just logged on to start the same thread that you started. This is a truly disgusting situation. Ray Lewis is a murderer, and they're probably going to put him in the Hall of Fame.

If they wanted to screw someone over, they should have kept Vick in the can forever. What he did was unforgiveable, but the Pats are really going to need Hernandez. Screw the Patriots. I don't need this shit.

He will eventually be charged with two murders. The guy and his NFL career.

He may well get out of prison with a different football skill set. From tight end to wide receiver.

We now have 54 members on The Caddy Shack!!! Thanks to Cory the Pagan, our newest member.

Can you dolts think of any other ways to get new members? I'd appreciate any input.

Sorry to interrupt the Patriots discussion. I can't say I like the Patriots but I certainly wouldn't denigrate anyone who does like them. If you do like the Patriots, "denigrate" means "to put down".

The Pats haven't been SB capable since Brady lost his nerve in big games which was some years ago.  Without any receivers they'll likely be no factor.  Unless.....with the pressure off, Brady regains the old big game magic he used to have and somehow his defense has a big year.

NFL players are a fringe of society, I don't know that the rest of us can relate.  Maybe he needed to shoot that guy.

All those players are just parts. The brain that makes the machine work right is the coach in the hoodie. A true football genius. And the owner is no help except playing the two-legged ATM so Coach can get the stiffs he needs. I laughed what little ass I have remaining off when I read a couple of days ago on the Drudge Report that Putin stole one of his Super Bowl rings. If you want to try to run with the Big Dogs, you gots to have a bunch more moxie.

Since Belichick is a genius and doesn't need players, someone should call him out for laziness since he hasn't won a Super Bowl in almost a decade.

As long as the AFC East contains the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins, the Patriots will make the playoffs.

You know as well as I do that there are enough metro areas with NFL teams that have never been in a Super Bowl, much less won one, that a decade's drought is much preferable to never having played in or won one. Much like a pro golfer who never won a Major in his 15-30 year career. Then there are those who maybe won one when young and then some years later win another one. Or those who only won one Major and then skated for the rest of the time (Jeff Sluman, IIID, Freddy come to mind) but will still live in adoration for that one big trophy.

If Belichick gets kicked down the road, you can be damn sure that the ownership of 31 other teams will immediately take notice and Bill's phone will begin to ring off the hook.

Well you and I differ here. To me it isn't about coming in second, or worse. In golf, without a major, the best players have underachieved. For the true elite, only a championship matters. You have Belichick and Brady together who had Super Bowl wins at one point. The fact is, by their standards, for 8 years they haven't gotten it done, including several Super Bowl flops.

For you Mongrel, success would be taking one snap in the NFL, even if you fumbled the snap. Brady and Belichick can't fumble the snap and claim football success.

No. In my 15th year I realized that football was not my sport. I had started downhill skiing a year before and thought that was my sport for a few years. By the time I reached 35, I realized that golf was my sport. My greatest success with the NFL would be in the form of selecting the upcoming Super Bowl champ prior to the commencement of the regular season hopefully at some nice long odds.

It's Cory. I owned my own shop. The people who made my parts were mostly UAW, so more power to them.
I wouldn't put lives, or even reliability, at stake by working with budget parts. Strange question, though.

So Hernandez isn't just a murderer, he's a mass murderer.  What's shocking isn't that an NFL low life would do these kinds of things, he's half Italian half Puerto Rican, it's that he did them so stupidly.  He might as well have taken pictures of himself killing the people and sent them to the police.  This looks like the most iron clad, air tight set of evidence we've ever seen.

Having an airtight case raises the odds of conviction of a famous person to almost 30%.

Serial killer, not mass murderer. A mass murderer is one who kills multiples at the same time like that geeky nerd in Connecticunt or that carrot-topped humanoid in Colorado. Serial killers do them one at a time like Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy. The mass murderer is a lowlife who frequently dies during or right after his spree. The serial killer is a predator who is typically meticulous and patient in plotting his hits. Or just a dumb sack of tattooed gangland feces like Hernandez.

That definition is bogus. The mass murderer's kills occur within a finite time frame and the killer is almost always captured or killed quickly. Of course I do not include serial mass murders as those have only been committed by those under the command of government and military leadership. A serial killer may go years between kills. The proto-typical hit man is a perfect example.

    Murder my ass.

This is what I care about:

Brady has to throw to somebody.
    They let Welker walk.
Gronk's on whatever football calls the DL.
    Hernandez is in the can.
And they don't have a cheetah-fast schwartza with hands.

If I were Brady, I'd retire and live off Gisele's millions.

(Actually, I might have done that regardless.)

I don't care about the Patriots but I did once have a cool Fred Arbanas football card. As for unions, that's why play is so slow in the PGA. They're unionized. Hernandez needs a few Rachel Jeantels on his jury.

He can only get a fair trial in front of a jury that is composed of his true peers. Gang members. However, I don't think that felons can serve on juries so he is well and truly f*cked. Although for the gangs, slammer stints build creds. As for the NFL, shanks for the memories.

The Patriots will do fine without their thug, Hernandez. I would guess they'll find another suitable tight end to take his place and put this whole thing behind them. Tom Brady is still young enough to take them to the playoffs for 5 more years.

I suspect that we will see Tebow lined up somewhere in offensive formations during the upcoming season. Just because they play quarterback in high school and college, doesn't mean they can't contribute elsewhere in the Big Show.
