The Cincinnati Bengals on Hard Knocks.....Again Empty The Cincinnati Bengals on Hard Knocks.....Again

I watch HBO but hate their oversaturation of promos.  I won't even watch Hard Knocks but can't escape being bombarded by HBO promotional pieces on its annual hopeless team under the spotlight.

We get it, some teams suck and are disfunctional.  They don't have to pick the worst of them and pretend it interests anybody.

I kept HBO even though it's devoid of decent movies because The Newsroom was well done.  But so far this season it sucks.  They're basically checking off liberal agenda topics one by one and distorting them with angry resentful typically liberal dogma.  The dialogue sounds wretched because the actors can't believe they have to mouth such ridiculous liberal garbage.

The Bengals don't really have any interesting players outside of Pacman. I hope HBO really focuses in on him.

I get Cinemax with the HBO package. Their show Banshee is excellent. I used to watch East Bound and Down on HBO too.

Now I pretty much watch nothing on the regular. I did watch this pretty hilarious show on Animal Planet or something similar. It's about a paranormal crew out of West Virginia who look for monsters in Appalachia. I was laughing my ass off when they were looking for the wolfman in Kentucky.

Success! Lorenzo baited me into a reply!

Sunday night was a super TV night. Dexter at nine, The Newsroom at ten, Ray Donovan at eleven, and then the last few innings of the Red Sox-Yankees extra inning game.

(I was going to watch the two hour edited version of the game on Monday morning, forgetting that there wouldn't be one for the ESPN televised game, but didn't have to anyway. Red Sox-Yankees games always take at least four and a half hours ...minimum, that for just 9 innings.  They try to bring back the leisurely cricket vibe, but without the civility, of course.)

Hard Knocks is a disgrace.    Best to watch boxing, tennis (if you can stand it), and golf, people.  Team sports are ALL at the Roller Derby level of absurdity now.

There might actually be a payoff for you. It looks as though they may be setting up Marvin Lewis to look foolish and incompetent. I won't watch so perhaps someone who does can confirm this when it airs.

With Direct TV you can change your premium channels as much as you like. I'm going to off HBO and instead get Cinemax or The Movie Channel and Showtime.

I'll be watching, but my view is through the prism that Marvin is already an idiot.

I like the idea of Direct TV, especially since their internet service can compete with the speed of cable.

There are some nice advantages to DTV and these days they make things ridiculously easy and cost competitive up front.

Excuse me, the Royals just invaded CNBC with their stupid baby, I have to go vomit.

At least the infant in no way resembles Trayvon. And I read recently on some web site that a fairly large percentage of Britons are hoping that the future king may turn out to be homosexual. Now his paternal grandfather evidently volunteered to help test the theory popularly espoused by the leggibitt community that queers are born and not made but luckily the baby's father urged his father to keep his pecker in his trousers and reminded him that infants will basically suck on anything for the first few periods of time.

Until there is some explosion that gets every last one of them I'm not tuning in to anything Royal.

Sounds like you need to watch the movie King Ralph. A true masterpiece.

Electrocution would be fine if lions aren't available.
