I always felt that would be a great shaft. Especially in warmer weather.
I liked the original px in satin finish, had several sets with the 5.5.

Never tried the 6.0 though. I feel px has minimal shot dispertion in spades, but I killed my left wrist one year and strayed from them.

The KBS I'm playing at the moment in a mixed set of stiff and reg are a little soft, and a tad high flyin.

Im switching from KBS - they are high flyin for sure. Smooth feeling though!

I hit a couple of Adams forged irons in the Golf Galaxy a couple of months ago. They had KBS Tour 90 stiff shafts in them and they felt really nice. I could play that shaft.

I tried the 90s. Put a couple in my 5 and 6. S flex. Hit moonballs that fell out of the sky. Pulled them out and re-installed my tour KBS. KBS is definitely a smooth feeling shaft for sure. Guess I prolly needed to hardstep or go up a flex in them though....

KBS is one of the best feeling shafts out there but I bet I'd be disappointed on the course. I've been told they are spinny with too high a trajectory. The Project X 5.5 and 6.0 are great shafts. They keep the ball lower with less spin. What's surprising is that they are advertised as providing a higher flight with less spin. I've always experienced a lower trajectory with them than Dynamic Gold.

KBS Tours are indeed the worst shafts on the market. Impact feels great, but ball flight is dreadful.
I have the original satin PX 6.0's in my MP-32's and love them. I have the new 6.5's in my MP-59's and I like them. Haven't tried the flighted, but the description sounds like I'd be better off with the regular version.

Funny, but I may go back to several old clubs. I put the bat signal putter back in the bag and it was a revelation. Hitting the MP-32's on the range felt great. Just so familiar, even though I've had the MP-59's for the better part of 2 seasons. Also, I hit a few balls with my old hybrid and was loving it compared to the Anser I got built over the winter.
If you don't know/remember, I broke my Callaway Razr Tour (think that's what it's called) hybrid and needed a quick replacement, so I got fitted for an Anser with an aftermarket shaft. Since then, Callaway sent me a new Razr Tour. It's got a stock NV and my old one had an aftermarket NV tipped to an X, but I was destroying this club on the range and loved the ball flight.
I've done this in the past, where I replace gamers for the hell of it, and forget how great the old club was. I made a vow never to get a different 3 wood after trying to switch out my 12 year old club several times.

HB - you have always detested KBS. Well chronicled. I do like the feeling w/ KBS, and just went along with the results, no worries, right? Well, when I demo'ed the px my ball flight came way down and I was like, well maybe it wasnt entirely the indian afterall!

Pricey shafts indeed, the px, but well worth it for my game.

I play a 6.0 in the x's and X-stiff in the KBS's. They play about the same. I think the KBS's are a bit soft and if you went up a flex you'd still have the feeling with a lower flight.

Could be true. Thats what I am thinking as well. For my swing, I feel KBS shafts need a more smooth and easy transition. The px, for me, feels like it just flat out wants to be swung - more athletic. Guess I had an epiphany or something. Dunno.

I go back and forth on which one I like better. I have a tendency to go hard from the top, which the X's seem to handle a bit better. I'm really trying to work on my release and if I can just convince myself that swinging hard doesn't always equate to more distance, I'll be better off with the KBS.

All I know is when I play the X's, I really miss that sweet feeling of a cleanly struck shot you get with the KBS shafts. The X's just feel like a board...

poe - you will get it sorted out. Find your groove and match it up with the shaft you prefer.

For me - Im better off if I step on it. I dont have time to think - just go! And Px works better for me. Feel more athletic and natural.

Tried Px (non-flighted) in the past and they felt harsh, but for whatever reason, Im really getting along with my new shafts.

Thanks for the input. I'm considering checking out some irons this year. I'll give the flighted Px's a try. But honestly, either shaft scores about the same just different misses.

Best shaft I ever hit is still in my Adams paddles-- the TT Black Gold in Stiff. I guess it didn't sell, but... high flight, not spinny, when I'm swinging well I"m going after every pin, consistent distance and direction... great feel... my swing is kind of pendulous and slow, but the speed is there at the bottom...

Love the TTBG. Anything else will be second best, once I have to give up the paddles.
