I couldn't miss with the Adams Black CB-3's. They felt great, didn't look overly bulky when looking down on them so I bought them.
First thing my buddy said was "you bought old man clubs???"

Funny you mention the distance. I was hitting the 7 iron about 15 yards further than I'm use to. I thought it was just the simulator tweaked to get a sale.
As far as Vegas....I'm actually going down March 21st with my 13.5 year old son and wife to visit Lakeologist (haha). We are then driving to LA for 3 days, maybe more.. (surprise for my son) to see the Lakers on Friday and Clippers on Saturday. I got 7th row seats. He's a huge basketball fan and we've never been to an NBA game. Then back to Vegas for 4 days. We will be golfing. Any affordable places in the LA area you'd recommend?
The May trip might have to wait until another year.

That's a great set of irons you just obtained. I was thinking of buying those myself but was concerned about the "old geezer" association that you are experiencing. That's a joke, of course, because these are forged cavity backs with a smallish clubhead and very little offset. The ones I tried had the KBS 90 stiff and felt wonderful. Awesome distance. The only problem I've seen is that the soles wear pretty easily.
Looking forward to Las Vegas if you are still going.

A combo of not enough play time and tendonitis in my elbow. I stopped into Golftown last week after work and tried almost everything on their clearance rack. I had no plan to buy, I just was passing time until my wife picked me up.

my brother in arms. my Adams Paddle pal. I have wanted to upgrade to the black adams (probably will go with the 1 rather than the 3) but I still hit these antique Adams Idea Pro Forged too well.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Adams!
be sure to tip your waitresses.

Not hard to deduce. People who know me would cerainly agree with horse nuts that I am not a hacker. He actually seems pretty perceptive for a guy who appears to lack style. Id bet he would be the type to turn up to a match in cargos, He also seems like a home course bully who beats up on weak fields at his half baked private club.Kiwigolfer wrote:Horseballs wrote:So, am I right in assuming that if you are a "Player" you are "Not a hacker?"Player wrote:Adams are a good choice if you are a chopper or over 50. Dont know this for a fact butt a player gets a feel for these things.
Just needed confirmation, since the GR NaH said he would never come over here and kneel down to FD. This new "Player" seems like a powder puff version of the powder puff NaH. You play on a goat track and guzzle shitty Fosters. Not exactly a glass house you've got there.Player wrote:Not hard to deduce. You seem to have confused me with somebody else, however this other person is obviously a decemt judge of characteron FD from what Ive seen here. A hacker in total denial trying to buy a game with new clubs. How many sets has he gone through just this year? Epic fail if you ask me. Says something about your game that you rate him so highly.Horseballs wrote:Just needed confirmation, since the GR NaH said he would never come over here and kneel down to FD. Original dci gold, 3-pw dg s400. Old school. I know they are a bit chopperish with the offset, but as pure as driven snow in the right hands. I dont understand the apparent pre judgement of new members here though. Its almost like you think you know me.Kiwigolfer wrote:Player wrote: If you have game there is mizuno or titleist and nothing else.
